Chele's Cat Care got the call...
"There are 8 cats at the airport. They are on a small patch of land surrounded by traffic on all sides! We are not allowed to feed because they don't want us to attract birds"!!!
So no one from the airport has asked for help for these cats. They only say "Don't Feed!"
When we get that type of call we jump into action. The trappers were ready to go. "Bring me those cats and lets get them out of harms way." I said.
First night of trapping....no cats trapped.
Second night of trapping...no cats trapped.
What we had to consider was that these cats were not hungry enough. So while hunting around for where the cats might hide, they found another feeding station, hidden and full of kibble.
They left a note telling of our plan and asked not to feed. Soon thereafter, the trappers got 2 cats and then again a few nights later, another two.
Still, there were plenty more. Far more than 8.
So we ask for your donations once more. Four cats have been fixed, snap tested and vaccinated. They seem healthy, considering! They are for the most part afraid but it's hard to know how feral they are right now.
Our dedicated trappers will be trying again tonight.
